Online & Offline Orders

Payment Terms

All products at Geoffrey Parker requires 50% deposit on placement of the order with the remaining 50% prior to delivery on all orders. No orders placed with Geoffrey Parker, online, or via phone or email will be shipped without full payment.

Some items on our website require full payment, this includes stock items and items we hold in stock such as acrylic dice, cubes and checkers this is not limited to this list and is at the companies descression what is charged with a deposit. This is to enable the immediate shipment of these items.

Returns policy

Due to the custom nature of our products, returns are not possible; each product is custom-made for you and therefore cannot be resold. If you would like to cancel your order, this will be non-refundable. If the product has not gone into production, please contact us, we may be able to partially refund you, however, this is at our discretion. Our team will have spent time designing, and materials will have been ordered, but we will do our best to accommodate.

If there is an issue with your item, please contact us as soon as you receive it. While we have a very strict quality control process, if you notice an issue, please email us with a photo of the problem, and we’ll endeavour to sort it as swiftly as possible.

Cancelling an order

Custom orders can only be cancelled if the item is not already in production or materials have not been ordered for special items; if you would like to cancel your order please email us as soon as possible. This will enable us to work out if a refund is possible

Section 28(1)(b) of the CCRs excludes ‘the supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specification or are personalised’ from the right to cancel.

Returns

If you have emailed us and a return is required, please ensure it’s packaged in the same way we delivered it to you. If you don’t have sufficient packaging, please email us or give us a call, and we can provide you with this. Our aim is to always ensure our products are handled with as much care as possible, especially through the delivery process.

Artwork Sign Off

All custom items will be designed alongside you, with all final designs being sent to you via email for your approval. Please use this opportunity to check all spellings and artwork carefully; often, we work with customers in multiple languages and therefore cannot be held responsible for spelling mistakes. Once you agree you are happy with the artwork, you are creating a contract with us to purchase this custom item. Please note that any changes after this point may be subject to additional charges depending on the work required to amend the design. For example, a re-print or casting of an embossing plate may be required.

Products and services

We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colours of the products shown on the Website. However, because the colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate. Leather is also a natural material, and each batch is tanned specially for us; therefore, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match each time. We are, however, always happy to send out samples for you to choose from.

Reference to any product or service on the Website does not constitute an offer to sell or supply that product or service, and does not mean that the product or service is available or that the name and description of any product from our wholesale distributors will be the same as that included on the website. We reserve the right to substitute a product of equal value and nature if the original product becomes unavailable.

While Geoffrey Parker makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate Content through the Website, we cannot guarantee accuracy. All Content, Submissions and Third Party Content are used by users at their own risk.

Tournament and Donation vouchers

We love to work with charities and backgammon/poker and chess tournaments. We do this as it’s something we as a company take pride in. However, we can’t accept any vouchers won or purchased by donation in conjunction with any other voucher or deal/offer unless approved by us as a company.

All tournament vouchers from January 2020 onward are valid for a maximum of 1 year from the date of the tournament, unless agreed otherwise with Geoffrey Parker Games. Vouchers cannot be traded without our permission, which includes balance transfer. No voucher will be exchanged for monetary value.

International users

The Website is controlled, operated and administered by Geoffrey Parker (or its licensees) from its offices within the United Kingdom and is not intended to subject Geoffrey Parker to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United Kingdom. Geoffrey Parker does not represent or warrant that the Website or any part thereof is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction other than the United Kingdom. Those who choose to access the Website do so on their own initiative and at their own risk and are responsible for complying with all local statutes, orders, regulations, rules, and other laws. You are also subject to United Kingdom export controls and are responsible for any violations of such controls.

All purchases through this website are subject to your country’s import and export laws. We ship worldwide, but as the purchaser, it is your responsibility to know your own country or state laws regarding imports, gambling and international trade. All purchases are made in GBP.

Import Duties, VAT and Tax

All duties, VAT and Tax are to be paid by the recipient or customer dependant on the location of delivery. Geoffrey Parker takes no responsibility for these as each principality, state and country differ in what they charge.
