Garden Chess - an introduction

Following on from our illustrious chess pedigree, we were disappointed to see that those avid chess players who want to compete both in and outdoors are left with a far from luxurious range of options, usually in the form of vacuum moulded ABS plastic.

This certainly wouldn’t do for Geoffrey Parker’s customers, so we have painstakingly created a giant 24” (600 mm) King size hand-turned Staunton chess for the garden in English Ash and Mahogany, complete with a rubber washer inserted within each based to elevate the piece slightly from the ground, to reduce damp from getting in.

Lacquered against sudden unexpected down-pours (although it is recommended that the pieces should be put away at the end of the day or if continuous showers are forecast), these gloriously heavy pieces will grace any patio or baronial entrance hall.

Each piece has its own special box lined in polystyrene for safe keeping during the winter months.
