# 578 BOOK-BOX CHESS SETS - an introduction
A Geoffrey Parker classic - beautifully hand-bound, echoing the Company's book-binding roots. These faux books can have either suede or full leather "pages", contrast title panels and be either gold or silver embossed to the spines.
Sold in pairs with the inside each "book" providing stowage for half a chess set so that it can be safely and secretly stored away on ones bookshelf at the end of an evenings gaming. Lined in suede and felt, these traditional "books" have key locks to protect against unauthorised use of ones precious pieces.
This presentation is available for both the fabled Spassky & Fischer chess set or our Club Staunton design chessmen as below. Matching chessboards are of course also available to complete the magnificent tomes.

# B-578/S&F Jaques Spassky & Fischer set
Jaques' replica of the famous set used for Spassy and Fischer's Icelandic World Championsip in Reykjavík in 1972 which many still refer to the "match of the century". Each set is numbered and supplied with extra Queens. King height of 89 mm (3.5"). The bases of the chessmen are leather and embossed with a facsimile of Staunton's signature, the year of original design registration and "Spassy and Fischer 1972", housed neatly and safely in the above leather book-boxes.
