Prestige class - an introduction
As for all our bespoke made to order Backgammons, our Prestige class is bound in the same Dauphin leathers as all our other classes of boards and has a beautifully hand inlaid leather playing field - super fast - no stitching to slow play down. A solid wood carcass lies beneath the leather covered case which is secured by a pair of solid brass combination either gold or nickel plated to prevent tarnishing (key locks are used on the # 83/Prest Compact Travel case and a concealed magnetic closure is used for # 81/Prest Handsize set). Acrylic stones/checkers, flat one side, finger dished the other and an acrylic deep etched Doubling cube (30mm/1.2") are provided along with inlaid decals to indicate doubling cube acceptance by either player. Also a "Crawford/Jacoby" leather indicator dics is stowed within the hand bound leather dice cups, complete with trips to prevent unfair play.

Bspk-81/Prest
A classic and long standing Geoffrey Parker design - magnetically closing, this "clutch-bag" size travel Backgammon is beautifully made but as always with practicality in mind. Often when travel boards are made the stones/checkers are too small to pick-up easily - those made for this handsize board are turned Boxwood with leather inlays and at a height of 17mm/0.66" make play easy. Magnetized throughout (even on the "bar") stability is no problem and one can leave a game "frozen" while making that important transit change. Four 12mm/0.47" spot dice and a 16mm/0.63" Doubling Cube are provided.
As an optional extra, a pair of lozenge leather dice cups, complete with trips, are available.
