Backgammon - Table-top edition - an introduction

Originating from demands for table-top boards from the many gaming clubs and casinos we have supplied over the past 45 years and for those aficionados of the game who play so much that their board is hardly ever not being used. These non-folding boards do not compromise on any aspect of quality or specification to those of their folding attaché cased counterparts.

Made on a solid wood core and bound by hand in Dauphin calf leather, these are available in 4 sizes, Competition (particularly suited to Chouette play), Tournament, Challenge and Fireside.

There is one bearing-off area, which also stows the cups, stones/checkers, dice & cube. A full stone width wide bar is installed and the playing fields are available in full leather, leather points inlaid into finest quality Billiard cloth or marquetry inlaid wood.

Un-crushable dice cups, complete with trips and lined in suede to reduce dice noise, a choice of weighted leather, leather/nickel (Competition and Tournament sizes only), acrylic and wooden stones/checkers, plus inlaid leather or acrylic doubling cubes. Precision dice are supplied within the Competition and Tournament sizes with standard dice in the other two smaller sizes.

Of course all the boards can be made in any of our 12 Dauphin calf leather colours and personalisation or club insignia can be embossed in gold or silver, as required.

The boards are trimmed with a non-slip Suedette to the undersides.

Please Note: If you are using one of our boards to fit into an existing table or building a table around it – please make this known to the workshop as these sizes are only approximate and as leather skin thickness can vary and each craftsmen makes slightly differently from each other, this may effect the finished size – if we know the measurement is critical we will monitor its dimensions throughout the manufacturing process to keep tolerances to a minimum.
